According to the TV ratings published by The Nielsen Company, American households watch, on average, in excess of 8 hours of television a day. Nielsen goes on to say that this viewership audience is the highest it has been since they began documenting viewership in the 1950s. Television advertising can be far cheaper than paying for a listing on Google, Bing or Yahoo and TV advertising can target your audience demographically by income, ethnicity or gender.
CONSUMERS SPEND THE MOST TIME WITH TV
Despite all the noise and hype about the web and its far-reaching effects, according to The Nielsen Company, people still spend more time watching TV than any other form of media. Neilsen’s statistics also show that the consumers of tomorrow will still favor TV over other media by a similarly wide margin.
